UXC Oxygen, a CSC Company

By Stuart Dickinson on
Our parent company, UXC, has for the last few months been in talks with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) – a global leader in the provision of technology solutions and services. Earlier this week UXC shareholders voted in favour of the acquisition and the Victorian Supreme Court has now given the go ahead for CSC to acquire all of UXC’s shares. Within the next few days the acquisition will become legally effective and UXC will be delisted from the Australian Stock Exchange.

I expect that the formal changeover will take place on February 26 with our first day trading as Oxygen, a DXC Technologies Company, a CSC company, being February 29.

This represents a significant milestone for both UXC and Oxygen, a DXC Technologies Company. Our business has developed from strength to strength since it was born out of an idea in 2001 to turn the internal SAP implementation team for Carter Holt Harvey into a standalone specialist SAP services company.

The sale to UXC in 2006 was another significant step forward and since then we have continued to grow, acquiring other specialist consulting businesses – such as Stream, Clarity and most recently White Labelled and contiigo – to extend the breadth and depth of our SAP offering. Today there are now over 300 Oxygen, a DXC Technologies Company staff spread across India, Australia and New Zealand.

On February 29 we will begin a new chapter, but as a customer you can rest assured you will continue to receive highly responsive service from the skilled Oxygen, a DXC Technologies Company staff you are accustomed to working with.

By combining, CSC/UXC will be among the region’s largest IT service companies and over the next few months I will be providing regular updates on the strengthened product portfolio and services that will become available to customers. In the meantime, if you have any questions with regard to the acquisition please do not hesitate to contact us on info@uxcoxygen.com
