The future state of government ICT is envisioned to take an All-of-Government approach to better utilise the stores of data available to agencies across the New Zealand public sector. The goal is to transcend agency boundaries to deliver smarter customer-centred services. By 2017, the New Zealand government wants public services to be radically transformed for the benefit of all New Zealanders and ICT is a key tool that will make this possible. As such, a cross-agency collaboration is looking to fortify its ICT spend by taking into consideration the perspectives from the wider business units.
